Dr. Jyoti Sekhar Banerjee is currently serving as HoD in the CSE (AI and ML) Department at the Bengal Institute of Technology, Kolkata, India, and remote researcher in the ITHACA Lab at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Western Macedonia, Kozani, Greece. Additionally, he is also a professor-in-charge, R & D and Consultancy Cell, and Nodal Officer of the IPR Cell of BIT. He is the former remote research fellow of the Cognitive Computing and Brain Informatics Research Group at Nottingham Trent University, UK. Dr. Banerjee did his post-doctoral fellowship at NTU, UK, in the Department of Computer Science. He also completed the P.G. Diploma in IPR and TBM from MAKAUT, West Bengal. He has teaching and research experience spanning 20 years and has completed one IEI-funded project. He is the present secretary-cum-treasurer of the ISTE WB Section and Secretary of the IETE, Kolkata Centre. Dr. Debashis De is a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal, India. He received M.Tech. from the University of Calcutta, in 2002. and a Ph.D. from Jadavpur University in 2005. He is a senior member-IEEE, fellow IETE, and life member CSI. He was awarded the prestigious Boyscast Fellowship by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to work at the Heriot-Watt University, Scotland, UK. He received the Endeavour Fellowship Award from 2008–2009 by DEST Australia to work at the University of Western Australia. He received the Young Scientist award both in 2005 in New Delhi and in 2011 in Istanbul, Turkey, from the International Union of Radio Science, Belgium. In 2016, he received the JC Bose research award from IETE, New Delhi. Dr Mufti Mahmud is a Professor at the Information and Computer Science Department of King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia. With over 20 years of experience in academia and industry, Dr Mahmud has served in various leadership roles. Before joining KFUPM, he served at the Nottingham Trent University (NTU), UK, as the Coordinator of the Computer Science and Informatics (B11) Unit of the Assessment of Research Excellence Framework from 2021 to 2023, the director of the Cognitive Computing & Brain Informatics (CCBI) research group and deputy group leader of the Interactive Systems Research Group (ISRG), a fellow of the Medical Technologies Innovation Facility (MTIF), and member of the Computing and Informatics Research Centre (CIRC), the NTU Distance Learning Governance, Operation and Steering committee as well as the International Mobility Committee. Dr Mahmud received the 2021 VC Outstanding Researcher Award at NTU and Marie-Curie Postdoctoral fellowship from 2013-2015. His research grant captures around £4 million from various funders, including the European Commission and the British Council. With over 350 peer-reviewed publications, he has been listed as one of the top 2% cited scientists in Computer Science since 2021. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), a member of the British Computer Society (BCS), the International Neural Network Society (INNS), the Asia Pacific Neural Network Society (APNNS), the American Psychological Association (APA), and the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honor Society.
