The monograph is one of the first attempts to comprehensively, based on the generalization of scientific works of scientists, analysis of current legislation and practice of its implementation to determine the nature and features of administrative and legal protection of intellectual property rights in Ukraine and outline areas for improvement. The definition of such categories as "administrative and legal protection", "administrative liability", "optimization", "intellectual property right" and "scientific activity" was given.
