All relevant spatial criteria must be wellorganised and combined to make right decisions by means of the site selection process. To achieve this goal a lot of efforts were made where integration between the site selection process and current/future plans was reviewed. Hence, all of this information was into account and combined with the site selection process. The applied research laid the foundations for minimizing the gap between documentation and analysis of spatial patterns of LULC in the site selection process. It paved the way to more extended applied research in the fields of geographic information sciences for spatial planning tasks in vulnerable regions.
