Ray is quickly tried and convicted of the killing. Two years later, Gold Coast detective Scotty Stephens receives a call from Ray, who is in jail pleading his innocence. Scotty looks into the case and soon realises that Ray's motive pales in comparison to those of the people closest to Bobby. After infiltrating Phil Sexton's inner circle, Scotty is invited to a 'Beatles style' ashram in the Byron Bay hinterland, along with the family and everyone associated with the band, to witness the recording of INSEXT's new album.
