The use of antibiotics and other chemotherapeutics for controlling diseases has been criticized for their negative impacts. Immunostimulants could not be used widely because of various disadvantages. Application of medicinal herbs in disease management is gaining success, because herbal treatment is cost effective, eco-friendly and has minimal side effects. This book emphasizes the influence of five herbal additives (garlic, ashwagandha, phyllanthus, aloe and tulsi) on the growth, gonad development and disease resistance in goldfish, Carassius auratus.
