It then examined and mapped worldwide language learning apps and platforms to identify best practices. The research designed and developed a progressive web app (PWA) to support individualized second language vocabulary learning, emphasizing cognitive steps and e-learning principles. Results showed that this approach effectively improved learners' self-regulation, motivation, and self-efficacy in vocabulary learning.
