Access to antenatal and postnatal consultations and medical consultations was also largely disrupted. The survey revealed that the fear of being contaminated by the virus and the difficulty of obtaining permission to travel during confinement were the main reasons why clients refrained from using the services provided. Psychological health problems (82.3% of cases) were the majority, compared to 13% who had physical health problems. In terms of sexuality, 24% reported that their sexuality was disturbed, 68.2% of which were due to fear of being infected with SARS-CoV2 during sexual intercourse. Promoting modern methods of long-term contraception and the development of new tools and approaches such as telemedicine, self-care or home-based services are the main conclusions of this study.
