This work describes research that aimed to characterise the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in supporting students with special educational needs by teachers in the public school system of the city of Manaus, while the author was pursuing a Master's degree in Special Education at the University of Minho in Braga, Portugal, based on his Master's thesis.

Autor

Aldenei Barros holds a degree in Philosophy from the Federal University of Amazonas. He is a specialist in Educational Technology from the Federal University of Amazonas. He holds a Master's degree in Special Education from the University of Minho. Since 2010, he has been working as a Tutor Professor at the Federal University of Amazonas. He is a Philosophy Teacher in the Public Secondary Education System.
