However, many young people are not keen to take agriculture as a lifelong career. The study explored the opportunities of information and communication technology on influencing potential university students in their choice to study agriculture and related sciences. The existing body of research has highlighted factors that influence decision making among students in their choice to study agricultural programmes. It has focused on lack of information on agricultural education, negative perceptions and lack of role models as some of the factors impacting on students' decisions. The research explored the access and use of ICTs among undergraduate students and how it influenced their choice of agriculture as a programme of study in tertiary education. Recommendations were made to fully integrate ICTs in tertiary agricultural education to make it demand driven.
