hazyn forsythe (they/them) is a poet and creative whose work centres around mental health and the sapphic and queer experience. i think this feeling is hope is hazyn's first solo poetry collection, featuring pieces written over several years whilst dealing with and recovering from various mental health experiences. it shows the raw journey from being a teenager battling with ocd and intrusive thoughts, through the stress of being away from home for the first time for university causing a development into psychosis, to the process of recovery. through the years, hazyn not only found out how to live with mental illness, but grew to understand themselves more deeply and come to terms with their sexuality and personal identity. find out more about hazyn's current and future projects at: https://www.hazynforsythe.com

hazyn forsythe (they/them) is a poet and creative whose work centres around mental health and the sapphic and queer experience. they study creative writing at the university of lincoln, with plans to complete their master's qualification next. they have already been published on the abandoned playground in the '2022 poetry & innovative form student showcase' and taken part in the small-press and anthology project, 'monstera'. hazyn is currently working on several poetry projects including exhibition, printed collection, and online experimentation. experiences influence their work and this has led to their pieces being an open, honest communication about life. they hope that their work will help people understand both themselves and others. find out more about hazyn's current and future projects at: https://www.hazynforsythe.com
