The young risk-taker tried heroin, liked it and took it again. Before he knew it, Kevin had an addiction, leading to twenty-seven years of dangerous drug buys in Harlem and the South Bronx and mad exploits in order to pay for his habit. After a third arrest for buying drugs while on the job, he finally went upstate to rehab and got clean. When the drug counselor suggested he write about his experiences, the words poured out from this natural story teller. Three months later, Kevin came out of rehab free from drugs, his notebooks filled with hilarious, harrowing and heartwarming stories. I Still Can't Fly speaks of redemption and triumph over a disease that is wreaking havoc across the country.
