I know others were involved in some of the trials and tribulations that came my way and I hope I handled them OK. If I didn't, I'm truly sorry. Growing up I thought my childhood was bad in some respects. But a couple of things have changed that idea. One was writing this story. The other was back into the 80's when my mother moved to Seattle and I listened to her talk to my daughters about my childhood. When I listened to her tell those stories, I realized I had built a wall around my upbringing and I was steadfast in thinking, "it wasn't as good as it could have been". Those stories made me realize, "I did have a good childhood", and just maybe....... I could have been a better son.
