Due to rapid urbanization and industrialization open field agriculture is facing a serious challenges like lose in soil fertility, land pollution and land scarcity for cultivation. In such condition hydroponics is an effective alternative to meet out these problems. There are various urban agriculture practices including roof top gardening, eco home, pot culture, etc., are in practice. Cultivation of eggplant under soilless culture along with nutrition solution helps the people to have fresh vegetable in urban and peri urban areas. With this vision a study was carried out with two experiments to examine the suitable media to anchorage the plants, optimum fertilizer schedule and regimes for egg plants grown under pot culture.
