This work focuses on three aspects: the modern concept of work organization, the traditional work organization in Nigeria, field research and methodology. The main aim of this thesis has been to show that, in the life of the worker and his family, work is not only a means to satisfying material needs. Although income is still a very important factor, security of employment and more humane working conditions are taking on increasing significance.
