GWs symbolize a noteworthy health as well as cost burden. They affect the quality of life of those affected, with an impact on self-esteem and body image due to the physical disfigurement of the genital area. Sexual and reproductive health (SRH) is an essential part of women s physical, mental and social well-being. Therefore it is worth raising their awareness about the implications of GWs through an educational intervention programme in order to try and reduce the incidence of warts and ensure earlier treatment when needed.
