Pranee Richardson has served as a worker and researcher in the medical field for the past thirty years. Prior to beginning work in the health industry, she enjoyed employment as a food service technician on military bases. The culture of esprit de corps that permeated both the military and the medical profession led her to search for ways that everyday citizens can maintain the spirit of togetherness and achievement as a way of life. Over periods of time, Pranee struck up friendships with teachers in the California area and gained insight into the practices and techniques they employed to inspire accomplishment among their students. She noticed many similarities in the approaches doctors used to promote healing and educators drew upon to inspire learning. This breakthrough led her to consider the possibility that certain influences lift people to higher levels of achievement--not only in school, medicine, and the military--but in life in general. As time progressed, Pranee grew convinced that she could recognize the everyday phenomena that guide and shape people's attitudes and beliefs in seemingly mysterious ways. As she embarked upon adventures with her daughter, Rhiannon, and participated in experiments with friends and colleagues, she felt certain that she could produce a work that all people may use to take control of their lives and rewrite their destinies.
