None of them have addressed the most critical component of weight loss, which is understanding why you are overweight to begin with. You can certainly lose weight by cutting calories and carbs, but that does not translate to permanent weight loss because the minute you stop the diet, you gain the weight right back. That's insane. You need to be physiologically capable of losing weight in order to maintain your weight loss. That's the whole ball game. And that is what is missing in all the diet books I have read.
