Dr. Somsak Bhitiyakul graduated from Chulalongkorn University and Medical Center in Bangkok, Thailand in 1966. He began his fellowship in Nephrology in 1970 at Brown University, Rhode Island. He founded the first Dialysis Unit in Ulster County, New York in 1977. He received the Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) designation in 1994. He was the recipient of the Ralph O. Claypoole Sr. Memorial Award in 2002, a highly distinguished honor from the American College of Physicians for devoting a career in Internal Medicine to the care of patients. This book will explain illnesses, how they come about, and how to treat them.
