State charts are calculated for their capitals at the time of admission, not for Washington, D.C. as is the custom in other books. Whenever possible, only founding dates are used for cities; incorporation dates were utilized only as a last resort, when the information was either insufficient or vague. The introduction contains a brief outline on how the planets, houses and aspects are interpreted in mundane astrology.
