Through hard work and determination, Dexter was able to enjoy the best life could offer, however, he often made poor decisions. Soon, he found himself struggling with drug addiction, time and time again, which impacted his career and his ability to be a good father and husband. Things were not going the way he had envisioned. Dexter writes, "God elevated me from the depths of addiction hell to what I thought was a promising ministry serving God and others.
