The relationship between a Noor and a human lasts for a lifetime. Lyra meets a strong human Noor that wants to change the order of the relationship between humans and Noors. Lyra and her new human Noor, named Kalani, slowly workout a relationship of equals. Together they devise a plan to overcome the power of the powerful but evil mayor of the town.
