Charles B. Warren is an award-winning author living in Bartow, Florida just a few miles from the impressive home Lawrence Brown built to raise his family. Warren found the story of Lawrence Brown compelling-Brown was born into slavery, yet became a successful entrepreneur during dangerous times for black men-and L. B.
