The present work exposes the main transformations occurred in Las Tunas in the educational field from 1959 to the present time from the perspective of a historical analysis. It reflects facts and processes that reveal important aspects of the evolution of secondary and pre-university schools in the countryside (ESBEC and IPUEC), polytechnics and the Pre-University of Exact Sciences (IPVCE) Luis Urquiza Jorge.
