They carry an uplifting theme of how we must care for others, especially those who are downtrodden by life. Rashid has edited these stories and translated them from Shina (the Gilgit language). Rashid wishes to thank his parents and relatives for their great help in collecting the stories, of which Sparrow is the first. Alan Greenwell has illustrated SPARROW.
