Not to mention, as relationships begin to blossom, Lakely finds herself unsure of her feelings for Tanner. He makes her happy, he makes her blush... could she be falling for him? She isn't sure. As she is figuring out her own feelings, Carter and Rose are also getting closer to one another, causing tension within the group. Despite all that, in their time of aid, Lakely learns that this village is not what it seems, and that it's harboring some deep secrets and nasty betrayal's. The village is run by a head librarian, who seems to know everything there is to know about magic and more. When his supposed best friend becomes a zombie, Lakely becomes suspicious and confronts him. What they find is a massive, terrifying secret that could destroy not only the village, but Lakely and her friends as well.
