A hemothorax is an effusion of blood into the pleural cavity, while a closed chest trauma (CCT) is the result of an impact, regardless of its location, without the chest wall being broken. It involved patients of all ages, regardless of sex, admitted to our department for hemothorax secondary to closed chest trauma.
