The structure of this book responds to the natural sequence of development in the development of research works, begins with the evolution of scientific thinking and research methods coming up to the present day, showing the emergence of social sciences, making a typology of different research projects according to different criteria. After this introduction, the principles to facilitate the selection of the research topic are presented, a situation that has been observed, which sometimes represents a serious obstacle for students who perform this type of work for the first time.
