The interactions among the characters of this book make for enjoyable reading, and there is a clear message of the purpose and sovereignty of why God created both man and the animal kingdom. The book clearly defines the gospel of Christ and how God moves in His majestic power over the affairs of His wonderful creation. We are more like Gruff oftentimes that we would like to admit.
