Living with a disabled child brings many stresses and challenges for the whole family. Growing up with a disabled sister or brother presents a number of difficulties, but also opportunities, especially for siblings and their development. Their early assumption of responsibility, the limited availability of their parents, and the questions, fears and concerns that occupy their minds can be stressful. How siblings develop depends on many factors, which are examined in more detail in this paper.

Autor

Tamara Steinpruckner, born in 1989, completed her bachelor's degree in primary school teaching at the University of Education in Baden in 2015. She currently supports a residential community for children and young people as an integration assistant and learning mentor.
