The primary aim of this research is to investigate the graphitization processes occurring in HPHT synthetic single crystal diamonds. The study examined how impurities in samples affect its absorption properties and single/multipulse graphitization thresholds. Furthermore, an analysis of the surface composition using Raman spectroscopy revealed a diverse array of carbon structures that form in response to different levels of irradiation energy. This indicates that the interaction between the laser treatment and the material's inherent properties can lead to various structural outcomes. Through this research, we aim to enhance our understanding of the graphitization processes in HPHT synthetic diamonds and their potential applications in various fields.
