I grew up in Scotland and moved to Australia in the 1970s where I now live with my family in Sydney, NSW. As a retired teacher librarian, I know the importance of allowing young children to interact with picture books. They can be encouraged to develop their reading confidence by using visual clues to understand the text. I now treasure spending time reading to my beautiful grandchildren and helping them to develop a love of books.
