Benajim Costa, a wealthy state representative, owns a beautiful estate named Riverview, And thousands of acres of orange groves while Raphael de Goya is a world-famous gymnast Who lives in a former Henry Ford home and operates a lumber business. Both men, however, Are not satisfied. They seek the gold that is hidden in the forbidden parts of the Amazon jungle. Police Chief Compos has other ideas. He wants to clean up the corruption in the town of Pena. He decides to hire Dr. David Raywalt, a research scientist on animal behavior. David agrees on one condition. He and his nephew, Rick Thorton, will be exploring the upper reaches of a little-known River. They will be checking the water for contamination and what wildlife lives there. All communication Must be done by computer or secret code. Compos agrees. Raphael's men are first to find the gold in a deep cenote. Costa's men follow and tell Benajim. From his helicopter, he gives orders to attack anyone that stands in their way. From a helicopter flying close behind Compos gives orders to shoot Costa's helicopter down. Costa's men see their leader crash and decide to surrender. The feud is broken, and Compos returns home a hero.
