Individuals having celiac disease can go through serological testing for IgA anti-tissue transglutaminase antibodies and anti-endomysial antibodies where IgA-level is high. If the IgA is low, the person may undergo IgG antibodies testing. If there is a sign of positive serological indication, a duodenal biopsy is required to confirm active celiac disease.
