However, behind the bright lights, there is a dark side of UAE that cannot be ignored: its treatment of migrant workers and its link to human trafficking. This work aims to uncover the darker side of the UAE, exposing the various degrees and levels of exploitation of migrant workers, usually from Asia and Africa that comprise most of the UAE's labour force, who are being denied basic liberties.
