Autor

An author and school teacher for more than 20 years, Jamie Whitfield began her teaching career in the public schools of South Carolina and has since taught in Tennessee, Florida, and North Carolina. She also has taught in both public and private schools. She conducts workshops and lectures on developing and implementing strategies that involve students in meaningful reading and writing activities. After a brief retirement, she returned to teaching in the same South Carolina high school she attended as a student. She currently is focusing her research on struggling readers.
