She holds a degree on Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Master of Arts in Teaching Science and Technology, and Doctor of Philosophy in Education, majoring in Educational Leadership and Management. Prof. Chavez is an Associate Member of the National Research Council of the Philippines, strongly advocating that contributing to the body of knowledge through research can enhance the quality of life. Additionally, she is a dedicated advocate for community service and is recognized among the roster of volunteers by the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency.
