In considering business, there is the enabling environment while in organizations there is the culture and similarly in nations and global societies, the socio-economic and political climate as well as the structures that govern the societal systems are expected to enhance the thriving of life and community. When these systems choke life out of the very community they are designed to support, it impedes fruitfulness, destroys harmony and dissipates peace. As a result, the foundation on which progressive and constructive societal principles are formed, need to be engrained in every society to enhance the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, in an environment that offers the possibility for thriving, instead of choking life out.
