Denis Dickens has spent his life with one foot on the stage and the other firmly in the real world. A lifelong musician, he first cut his teeth in rock 'n' roll bands in the 1960s before shifting into Australian and Irish folk music, performing in two different bands across two separate decades. Music carried him through the years, even as he built a successful 35-year career in the building industry and ran his own business.When COVID hit and the music fell silent, Denis found himself with unexpected time-and a new creative doorway. Joining the Caboolture Writers' Link sparked an entirely different passion, and writing quickly became the next great chapter of his life.This book marks Denis's third published work, continuing a journey he never expected but now wouldn't trade for anything.
