Ontarian born and raised, Lissa has been a paramedic for the last seventeen years. Bearing witness to the worst moments of countless people's lives took its toll and she was diagnosed with PTSD. The diagnosis devastated her, made her question why God would allow tragedy, both hers and others. Multiple therapists suggested journalling, but the words wouldn't come. It wasn't until she flipped the script and started creating fictional characters in similar situations that she could finally hear the words- God is with you, you are not alone. Lissa hopes that someone would be encouraged by this book. If the story spoke to you or encouraged you, she would love to hear your thoughts: lissasamaras@gmail.com
