Rudolf Finsterwalder, architect, was born in Rosenheim, Germany in 1966. He lives und works in Stephanskirchen and in Berlin, Germany. Collaborations with architecture offices in Berlin, Germany, Porto, Lisbon, Rome, Italy and Salzburg, Austria. Since 2000 he runs his own architecture office with Maria José Finsterwalder and several buildings in Europe with emphasis on the examination of forms and structures of nature. Numerous awards and prizes, i. e. Rome-Prize (2007) and the exceptional prize brick-award (2009) together with Álvaro Siza. Has had numerous exhibitions, i.e. 9th Architecture Biennale Venice (2004), AIA New York (2005), Island Hombroich (2005), Museum Ludwig (2008), 11th Architecture Biennale Venice (2010), Martin-Gropius-Bau Berlin (2011).
