Manihar Memorial Eco-Club cited above. Dr. Singh has devoted his life to the study of Forestry, Environment and Ecology for the benefit of the mankind. The book deals with policy measures for enhancing forest outputs by enlarging growing stock, introducing scientific methods of plantation and harvesting forest produces and fighting against damaging practices like shifting cultivation and wonton destruction of forest wealth by greedy contractors.It would be worth while to go through the entire text to extract the pure honey from immense hive of scientific policy actions mixed with hurdles in the way of their smooth implementation.

Autor

Dr. Arambam Sanatomba Singh (geb. 1958), machte seinen Abschluss in Wirtschaftswissenschaften (Hons.) an der G.U., Assam (1979), seinen Postgraduiertenabschluss in Wirtschaftswissenschaften an der J.N.U., Post Graduate Centre, Imphal (1982) und promovierte in Wirtschaftswissenschaften an der M.U., Imphal (2000). Er hat sein Leben dem Studium der Forstwirtschaft, Umwelt und Ökologie zum Wohle der Menschheit gewidmet.
