It is tried to calculate the vulnerability of slum dwellers in both qualitatively and quantitatively which is time-demanding step to calculate the vulnerability of a community. It finds some surprising results which are not usually understandable for slum people. For reducing flood vulnerability of slum dwellers, several options have been proposed. This book might be useful for planners and decision makers forreducing flood vulnerability in slum areas. In addition, it would be helpful for those researchers interested in the field of 'Disaster Management' concerning squatter settlements.
