Passionate about promoting social justice, education, and women's equality, Harris has founded Women Rock 2-a non-profit organization that helps women with homelessness, transition, and domestic abuse. Their resources connect women to possibilities. Mother to Rodney Harris, Jr. and Raven S. Harris, Harris is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, the American Association of University Woman, and a Marie Fielder Center Fellow. Harris loves traveling, exploring other cultures, and promoting awareness for change. Her mission in life is to touch people's lives in such a way that they are changed and know that their lives matter. She hopes that women will see that they can become all that God has designed for them to be and know that they have the strength within to accomplish their goals.
