Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a simple method of assisted reproduction often used for unexplained infertility, but its results are sometimes disappointing. A 4-year retrospective study in Tunis examined 196 infertile couples to identify factors predictive of IUI success. With 328 cycles analyzed, the clinical pregnancy rate was 15.2%. Women with polycystic ovary syndrome had the best pregnancy rates (35.1%).
