A research survey was conducted in Isingiro district from July to August 2012 targeting mothers of a reproductive age. Despite health systems approaches to improve health facility deliveries being implemented in Isingiro district in line with policy guidelines, expectant mothers continue utilizing TBAs in preference to skilled birth attendants yet ANC in the health facilities remain well utilized.
