This is a descriptive cross-sectional study with prospective data collection. Data collection took place between May 02 and August 02, 2022, i.e. 03 months of activity. The study focused on PLHIV on ARV followed up in consultation in the infectious and tropical diseases department of the CHU du Point G. During the study period we recorded a total of 183 patients, 18 of whom were non-adherent to ART. Women represented 66.3% of our respondents, with a sex ratio of 0.50. The 40-50 age group was predominant (33.1%), with an average age of 42.33 ± 11.74. Housewives were the main occupation (37%). ...

The study focused on PLHIV on ARV followed up in consultation in the infectious and tropical diseases department of the CHU du Point G. During the study period we recorded a total of 183 patients, 18 of whom were non-adherent to ART. Women represented 66.3% of our respondents, with a sex ratio of 0.50. The 40-50 age group was predominant (33.1%), with an average age of 42.33 ± 11.74. Housewives were the main occupation (37%). Married people accounted for 66.9% of our study, and 81.2% had not received counseling at the time of screening. 94.4% of our patients were on the TLD combination (1 tablet/day). The majority of patients (60.2%) had shared their HIV status with their spouses. Fifty-five patients (30.4%) had reported ARV-related side effects at the start of treatment, and 2.2% felt that ARV drugs were toxic.
