With this in mind, the aim of this study was to identify the aspects that facilitate and hinder the work of nurses in managerial positions in a public emergency hospital in the interior of São Paulo. To this end, a descriptive study was carried out with a quantitative approach to qualitative data, using the Critical Incident Technique to survey perceptions and attitudes towards the object of investigation. The study was carried out in a public, tertiary-level teaching hospital in the northeast of the state of São Paulo.
