It was an ardent task to gather so much data from nowhere and, due to the lack of databases in the country, my research team worked day and night to establish the first database in the country containing information consisting of pesticide exposure and neurological deficiencies. The co-operation of the chemical companies, their staff and all the field workers who were interviewed contributed to the publication of this book. On completion of this project my prayers were for those hardworking people in the fields who were unaware of the dangerous effects which pesticides have on human health.
