With this imperative arises the need for effective leadership development programmes for teachers. This book, therefore, provides a theoretical lens for approaching leadership development in the school context. A range of strong contextualized programmes, head teacher s leadership style and the school culture of collegiality, shared vision and values, can foster teacher leadership in the school.
