Temperature measurement is crucial for many industrial applications due to its great influence as a process control tool. However, in most work environments it is clearly difficult to realise and maintain the ice point (0 °C), the reference temperature for thermocouple measurements. Temperature measurement is crucial for many industrial applications due to its great influence as a process control tool. However, in most work environments it is clearly difficult to realise and maintain the ice point (0 °C), the reference temperature for thermocouple measurements. Due to the difficulty of accurately measuring the temperature of the temperature indicator terminals where the thermocouple reference junction wires are connected, CEJR ends up being one of the dominant sources of error in temperature measurements using this method, given the difficulty of properly estimating a correction for this effect. National and international standards present different methods for calibrating indicators with CEJR, and this work addresses the study carried out to determine the one that gives the best results.
